Treatment of metabolic syndrome and quality of life in schizophrenia: state of the art

Abstract

This article reviews the scientific literature of the last 10 years referring to metabolic syndrome in relation to the quality of life of people with schizophrenia and the interventions that should be carried out. Articles collected in Web of Science and PsycINFO were included, using the MeSH terms of this work. More than 90 publications referring to the syndrome were found.
